Take Your Pills
Role
Titles and motion designer
I worked with the team at Blue Spill to design the title sequence and over seventy in-film motion graphic sequences for Netflix’s Take Your Pills.
Directed by Alison Klayman (Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry), the film explores Adderall abuse in American society.
With a colour palette taken from the medications explored in the film and themes of digitisation, collage, distortion and repetition. Heavily referencing social media and the short attention span of modern life - sections of the film interrupted by pop-ups, emails and alerts. With three different visual artists on the film, the aim was hectic visual 'mash up' rather than a single aesthetic.
Winner - Broadcast Tech Award 2019, Best Title Sequence.
Nominated - BAFTA 2019, Title Design Craft Award.
Nominated - SXSW Film Festival 2019, Excellence In Film Title Design.
